Honrando a Nuestros Seres Queridos... (Honouring Our Loved Ones)

Through veils of time, a story unfolds,

In memories whispered, in silence retold.

This day bears witness to those I have lost,

Whose presence remains, no matter the cost.

I miss you both, each laughter and tear,

In gardens of days, I feel you near.

Father’s gentle voice, Mother’s warm embrace,

A love unbroken, time cannot erase.

The laughter we shared, the shadows we crossed,

In every old tale, none of it’s lost.

A story told in hues dark and bright,

Like marigold petals, like stars in the night.

Across distant paths, your essence stays,

A light in the darkness, a guide through the haze.

In each breath of the wind, each flame in the sky,

I hold you close, bonds that never die.

On this day, as candles flicker and gleam,

I walk with the echoes of a once-shared dream.

Though roads diverged and time moved on,

Your spirit lingers, like a soft dawn.

May the peace you brought, like rivers, flow,

In the roots of remembrance, may it grow.

For you are a legend in the stories I hold,

In the chapters of life, a heart made of gold.

So here’s to the journey, the tale left behind,

To lives like no other, both tender and kind.

On Día de Muertos, through shadows and light,

I celebrate you, my guiding stars tonight.
